What is methylation?  Methylation is a process that determines gene expression, detoxification, hormone and neurotransmitter production and breakdown, and assimilation of nutrients. In general, your wellbeing, and conversely, the occurrence of heart disease, diabetes, Parkinsons’, autism, Alzheimer’s, cancer, is directly related to how your body is methylating. In fact, methylation is like the roots of a tree, the foundation to the entire structure and function. Ensuring that your body is methylating properly is now considered one of the primary and most effective ways to prevent disease. All of us have genetic weakness in certain methylation pathways, which decrease our ability to make serotonin for example, or to excrete heavy metals.

Elizabeth uses muscle testing (or kinesiology) to determine which methylation pathways are out of balance and then use vitamins, minerals, and other nutritional supplements to correct the imbalances and improve or bypass genetic weaknesses. This is a true joining of holistic medicine (with the use of kinesiology) and western physiology (with our methylation focus). Make an appointment and she will evaluate your methylation pathways and create a customized program that helps balance your system.
